Building a Technology-Driven Business
By January 1, 2028, Yummies Intercontinental aims to become a fundamentally technology-driven business, with a target of at least 98% reliance on technology, automation, and integrated digital systems across its core operations.
This is the foundation of our Vision 2028: moving from a business that uses technology to support its operations to one that is built around technology.
At the centre of this transformation is OMEGA OS — our business operating system.
One System, Every Channel
OMEGA OS begins with the restaurant, connecting the entire journey from customer order to fulfilment. At the front end, the OMEGA Workstation serves as the restaurant’s unified POS and order-management system. It is used by cashiers for walk-in customers and simultaneously receives orders from our online storefront, WhatsApp, Chowdeck, self-service kiosks, and other channels we may connect in the future.
The principle is simple: customers can choose different ways to order, but the restaurant operates through one connected system. Online orders are not an additional process that staff have to remember to check. They enter the same operational flow as walk-in orders, allowing every order to be received, prioritized, processed, and tracked through OMEGA OS.
From the workstation, orders move directly into the Kitchen Display System, where the kitchen receives and manages preparation. Once completed, the order moves back through the front end for collection or into the delivery process.
Any channel → OMEGA Workstation → Kitchen → Front End → Customer or Delivery.
This creates a consistent experience regardless of how the customer chooses to interact with Yummies.
Connected Delivery
Delivery will also form part of the OMEGA ecosystem. Our strategy does not necessarily require us to build and maintain a large delivery fleet ourselves. Instead, OMEGA OS can integrate with reliable last-mile delivery partners, allowing completed orders to move from our restaurants to customers through connected logistics providers.
This allows us to focus on our core business while using technology to coordinate the customer, restaurant, and delivery partner in one flow.
More Than Restaurant Software
Although restaurants are the starting point, OMEGA OS is not being built exclusively for restaurants. The broader vision is to create a flexible operating system capable of supporting the different businesses and verticals we may pursue in the future — including restaurants, retail and minimarts, lifestyle and consumer products, pharmaceutical retail, distribution, and other commercial interests.
Each vertical can have its own workflows and interfaces while operating on a common technological foundation. OMEGA OS can therefore grow with the business rather than forcing every new venture to build an entirely separate technology infrastructure.
Running the Business From Anywhere
Beyond order management, OMEGA OS is intended to connect the major functions required to operate the business: sales, inventory, recipes, procurement, delivery, HR, staff operations, reporting, and management.
The OMEGA Workstation is built for the people operating the business, while the OMEGA Dashboard gives owners and management centralized visibility over operations.
This becomes particularly important as Yummies expands into multiple locations and franchises. A restaurant should increasingly be able to operate through its systems without requiring the owner to be physically present, while management can monitor performance and operations from anywhere. The same infrastructure can then be replicated across new locations, creating a more consistent and scalable franchise model.
The 98% Technology-Driven Goal
By January 1, 2028, our goal is to have moved as much of the business as practical into a technology-driven operating model. The objective is not to replace people. It is to remove unnecessary manual work and give people better systems to work with.
Technology should handle the repetitive infrastructure — collecting orders, moving information, monitoring operations, managing data, connecting systems, and automating workflows — while our people focus on hospitality, food quality, customer experience, leadership, creativity, and execution.
Ultimately, Vision 2028 is about building a business that can scale without scaling complexity. As Yummies grows, technology should make the business easier to operate, easier to monitor, easier to replicate, and easier to expand.
And as our interests extend beyond restaurants, OMEGA OS should grow with them.
